Clients are a big part of working in a veterinary clinic, and a happy client is more likely to accept advice and follow it. This webinar covers why customer service matters, how to use inclusive language with clients and staff, and how judgement and bias based on appearance can mislead us. It also looks at what the team can do behind the scenes to keep the clinic running smoothly, from the waiting room and consult rooms to the appointment list and staff training.
It then works through handling difficult clients and difficult conversations, with role-played scenarios about repeat medication costs and euthanasia. It finishes with the importance of debriefing after stressful events and the support services available.
Presented by Cherie Murdoch as part of the ACVN webinar series.
Includes the full recording (42 minutes), the presentation slides as a PDF, and a quiz. Pass the quiz to receive a certificate worth 1 AVNAT point.
