Veterinary Nurse Solutions Pty Ltd
Trading as Australian College of Veterinary Nursing (ACVN) and operating VetNurse.Study

1. Who we are and scope

These Terms govern VetNurse.Study at https://vetnurse.study, the learning platform at https://learn.vetnurse.study, and associated online learning services operated by Veterinary Nurse Solutions Pty Ltd, trading as the Australian College of Veterinary Nursing (ACVN), together referred to as the Platforms. They apply across these Platforms when presented to users and incorporated into the relevant purchase or enrolment arrangement. They apply to visitors, registered users, students, individual and organisational members, subscribers and purchasers. Separate product-specific terms may apply, including Lifetime Webinar Membership & Learn.VetNurse.Study terms. Where product-specific terms expressly address a matter, they apply alongside these Terms; neither document limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Accredited study through other ACVN systems may also be subject to separate enrolment agreements, student policies and regulatory requirements.

2. Account eligibility and registration

You must supply accurate information and keep it up to date. A purchase or enrolment may require a personal account. You are responsible for reasonable steps to keep your password secure, for activity you authorise under your account, and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. Do not share access unless your particular product expressly permits it. Purchases by minors require the involvement and authorisation of a parent or legal guardian where applicable. We may apply reasonable identity and eligibility checks where needed to protect accounts, meet legal duties or establish course entitlement.

3. Products, descriptions and availability

We describe each membership, webinar, course and other digital product on its relevant listing. Your product description and the inclusions stated when you purchase determine what you receive, subject to applicable product-specific terms. We may correct errors, maintain content and update resources, but will not unfairly remove material purchased benefits. A purchase of a standard webinar or webinar-library membership does not automatically include premium learning products, qualifications, formal assessments, live events or group/clinic administration. Promotional catalogue counts describe the library at the relevant time and may change.

4. Prices, GST and orders

Prices displayed at checkout are in Australian dollars. GST treatment is shown at checkout; where a product states that its price includes GST, the checkout must honour that representation. Before payment we display the amount due and relevant product terms. An order is confirmed when accepted and processed by our store; we may contact you if a genuine error, fraud concern or availability problem arises. We will handle rejected or cancelled orders and refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. Payment is processed through the payment methods identified at checkout; we do not require you to provide card details by email.

5. Membership access and duration

Your membership grants the access stated in the product you purchased, for the stated period or under its separate lifetime terms. Your access begins as described when you purchase or when the qualifying payment and account setup have been completed. The 6-month and 12-month webinar memberships are time-limited access products unless expressly stated otherwise. Learn.VetNurse.Study may also offer recurring subscriptions to learning materials, with features, permitted subject access, assessment options and eligibility defined in its own product-specific terms. We will not charge recurring renewals unless an automatic renewal arrangement is clearly disclosed and separately agreed at checkout. When a fixed-term membership expires, access under that membership ends unless it is renewed or another valid entitlement applies. Existing rights or enrolments under other products are not automatically extinguished.

6. Lifetime Webinar Membership

Lifetime Webinar Membership purchases are also governed by the separate Lifetime Webinar Membership Terms and Conditions, which explain what lifetime means, the included library, excluded premium products, non-transferability, inactivity review and consequences of refunds. The specific terms must be presented before purchase and must be accepted where the product is purchased. These general Terms do not override those specific conditions.

7. Individual webinars and learning access

When you purchase an individual webinar, you receive the access described in its product listing. The presence of a course in Academy LMS does not by itself establish that any visitor is entitled to access it. You may need to enrol in an included course after your membership access is recognised. We may use account permissions, reasonable device controls and technical safeguards to prevent unauthorised sharing. We will endeavour to address access errors promptly when a valid purchaser or member cannot reach entitled content.

7A. Subscription learning on Learn.VetNurse.Study

Learn.VetNurse.Study may provide subscription-based access to learning guides, modules, videos, activities and other educational resources. Your subscription gives you access for the applicable subscription period; you do not acquire ownership of materials or automatic enrolment in a qualification. The applicable offer and separate subscription terms will specify the billing amount and frequency, renewal and cancellation process, any access or concurrent-module limits, eligibility requirements, and what happens to learning access and records when a subscription ends. Where assessments, workplace practical evidence, qualifications or certificates require separate fees, enrolment, verification or supervised activity, those requirements will be disclosed for the relevant product. Access to learning resources does not, by itself, guarantee that you are eligible for assessment or will achieve competency, completion or a qualification.

For recurring subscriptions, the relevant checkout must disclose recurring charges and material renewal conditions before purchase, obtain the consent required by law, and provide a clear cancellation route. Cancellation ordinarily stops future renewal charges and access continues until the end of the paid period unless product-specific terms or applicable law provide otherwise. Any refunds, billing corrections and service failures remain subject to the Australian Consumer Law. Your access to one Platform does not automatically include the other unless your purchased offer expressly says so.

8. Professional development and certificates

Where a webinar carries AVNAT CPD recognition, the allocated points and any required learning activity are identified on the relevant webinar page. Not every activity carries points. Certificates and completion records are issued only where the stated requirements are met and the relevant system has recorded completion. CPD rules may change and recognition is governed by the applicable professional body. We do not guarantee acceptance of any activity towards registration or another person’s professional requirements. You should retain your completion evidence.

9. Educational nature of content

We provide these materials for your education and professional development. They do not replace veterinary clinical judgement, current legislation, employer policies, veterinary direction, professional scope or patient-specific advice. Veterinary medicine and best practice evolve. You are responsible for applying information within your role, training and local legal framework. We take reasonable care in preparing resources and will correct or withdraw material where appropriate, without excluding statutory guarantees.

10. Conduct and permitted use

Use the service lawfully and respectfully. You must not share personal login credentials, impersonate another person, interfere with site security, attempt unauthorised access, use automated tools to harvest content, or copy and redistribute course materials without permission. Do not post defamatory, infringing, abusive or unlawful material through course forums, quizzes or community functions. We may moderate contributions and take proportionate action where misuse occurs.

11. Intellectual property

Learning guides, lesson materials, assessments, website, webinar and course content, recordings, slides, quizzes, designs and branding belong to Veterinary Nurse Solutions Pty Ltd or their respective licensors. Unless a product expressly grants broader rights, your purchase provides a personal, limited, non-exclusive licence to access included content for your own educational use for the applicable access period. Ownership is not transferred. Any downloads expressly offered may be retained and used only on the terms specified for those downloads and subject to law. Copyright exceptions and other lawful uses remain unaffected.

12. User submissions and feedback

You retain ownership of original material you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, process, display to authorised course staff and otherwise use submissions as reasonably necessary to administer the relevant learning activity, provide feedback, meet record-keeping obligations and operate the service. We do not obtain ownership of your feedback, assessment answers or other original contributions solely because you submit them. We will seek appropriate permission before using identifiable contributions as public testimonials or marketing.

13. Service changes, maintenance and interruptions

We may carry out maintenance, security updates, platform upgrades and reasonable changes to content and functionality. We will take reasonable steps to limit disruption and restore access after an incident. Temporary unavailability does not automatically end your membership, and any substantial or sustained failure will be addressed in line with applicable consumer rights. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable for planned changes that materially affect paid access.

14. Cancellation, refunds and consumer guarantees

Our general policy is that purchases of digital learning products, webinar access and memberships are non-refundable except where a refund is required by the Australian Consumer Law or expressly promised in the relevant product terms. Please consider the product description, access period, inclusions and any prerequisites before purchasing.

We do not ordinarily provide refunds because you change your mind, no longer want or need the product, have not used or logged in to the service, have insufficient time to study, find the content too basic or advanced for your preferences, change jobs or circumstances, purchase an overlapping product, or fail to complete a webinar, module or course. We also do not ordinarily refund unused portions of a fixed-term membership or a subscription billing period merely because you stop using the service or cancel early. These circumstances do not, by themselves, establish a right to a refund.

If you purchase a recurring subscription, you can cancel future renewals using the cancellation process described for that product. Cancelling does not ordinarily refund charges already incurred, and your access generally continues to the end of the paid period, unless the product-specific terms or applicable law provide otherwise. You remain responsible for charges properly incurred before cancellation.

If the product or service fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. We will assess requests on their circumstances and provide the remedy required by law, which may include correcting or resupplying a service, cancellation, a refund or compensation as applicable. Nothing in our no-change-of-mind refund policy limits these statutory rights.

You can contact us using our published contact details to request cancellation, report an access or service problem, or seek a refund or other remedy. If we provide a full refund for a particular membership, your paid access under that refunded membership will end, subject to applicable law and the remedy agreed. Other valid purchases or memberships will not be cancelled solely because one purchase is refunded. Any separate Refund Policy and product-specific terms must be read consistently with your consumer rights.

15. Suspension and termination

We may temporarily suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, security threats, serious misuse or material breaches. Except where urgent action is required, we will generally notify the member and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond or rectify the concern. Any permanent termination must be proportionate to the issue, take account of prepaid entitlements and comply with consumer law. We will not rely on a broad discretionary power to cancel paid memberships without proper grounds.

16. Privacy and information security

We handle personal information in accordance with our published Privacy Policy and applicable privacy obligations. Information may include account details, purchases, course enrolments and completion records. We use appropriate technical and organisational protections, although no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may retain records required for accounting, legal or educational purposes and delete or de-identify other information when it is no longer needed, in accordance with law and our policies. Please contact us through our published channels to request access, correction or assistance with personal information.

17. Third-party services and links

We may use third-party providers for payment processing, website hosting, streaming, learning delivery and account management. Their services may have separate terms or privacy notices. We remain responsible for meeting our own legal obligations in delivering what we sell. Links to external resources are provided for convenience and do not necessarily indicate endorsement.

18. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a question, billing dispute or concern about your access, contact us through the details published on VetNurse.Study and provide your relevant order or account information. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. We aim to resolve issues fairly and will not prevent you from using your rights to seek assistance from consumer protection agencies, regulators or courts.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, operational, technical or security reasons. The current version and effective date will be available on this website. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting existing paid entitlements. Updated terms will not retrospectively remove essential benefits already purchased or limit non-excludable rights. Where express agreement is required for a material new term, we will seek it.

20. Liability and Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies consumer guarantees or other rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by matters outside our reasonable control where we have taken reasonable care. Nothing here excuses our negligence, a failure to meet consumer guarantees, or other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. We do not impose a general obligation on users to indemnify us for all claims arising from ordinary use of the site.

21. Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, together with applicable Commonwealth law. Nothing limits a consumer’s right to bring a claim before a court or tribunal with lawful jurisdiction. If any clause is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.
