This webinar covers what plagiarism is and how to avoid it, why and what to reference, and how to write Harvard style in-text citations and reference lists, using a learner guide as the worked example. It also explains how to reference personal communications, such as advice from a supervisor.
It then moves to how to study, including reviewing the assessment first, highlighting, note making and testing yourself, followed by planning assessment answers and what question words such as list, discuss, explain and step by step are asking for. It finishes with how to find information using contents pages, indexes, chapter summaries and the PDF search function.
Presented by Alex Haintz as part of the ACVN webinar series.
Includes the full recording (34 minutes), the presentation slides as a PDF, and a quiz. Pass the quiz to receive a certificate worth 1 AVNAT point.
