Nurse consults are a chance to show clients what a vet nurse can do. This webinar gives you a clear structure to run them well.
You’ll work through the steps of a nurse consult: checking signalment and client details, taking a history for routine and non-routine visits, performing a basic physical exam that includes a distance exam, TPR, mucous membranes and capillary refill time, writing the history and handing over to the vet.
You’ll also cover the nurse’s role in triage, the three priority levels with examples, the questions to ask on the phone and the advice to give owners who are bringing in an emergency.
