Poor emotional wellbeing affects how pets live and, too often, whether they stay in their homes. This webinar helps you recognise distress and support owners with a clear plan.
You’ll start with emotional wellbeing in pets: what it is, the situations that challenge it, and how common emotional distress is in dogs and cats, with survey figures on aggression, inappropriate elimination, barking, vocalisation and destructive behaviour. You’ll learn the signs of emotional distress in dogs and cats, its impact on relinquishment and euthanasia, and the vet team’s role in early recognition, owner education and a multimodal approach.
The webinar then introduces Zylkene Plus, which combines alpha-casozepine with white fish muscle hydrolysate, and covers the research behind the new ingredient, its tolerability, and study results in dogs and cats left home alone. It finishes with when to use each product: Zylkene for short-term challenging situations, started 1 to 2 days before the event, and Zylkene Plus for recurring or prolonged situations, given for at least 30 days, along with dosing and pack sizes.
