Comparative anatomy compares body structure between species, looking at what is the same and what is different. This webinar explains what it means for everyday nursing, including handling, housing and where and what we administer, and the difference between homologous and analogous structures.
It then works through the 11 body systems, comparing species one system at a time, with examples such as fish gills, the ruminant digestive system compared with the horse, and the reproductive anatomy of the koala compared with the dog. It also gives a simple approach for comparing species in assessments.
